1. Introduction

Welcome to Kelia (“the App”), a family digital assistant developed by Kelia Apps. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App.

By using Kelia, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

To use Kelia, you must create an account. We collect:

Name
Email address
Password (securely encrypted — we never see or store it in plain text)

Your account lets you and your family members securely access your shared family data across devices.

2.2 Information You Provide

Family member profiles — names, roles, ages, and birthdays you add manually
Events and appointments — calendar entries you create
Shopping lists and tasks — items you add to lists
Home maintenance records — maintenance tasks, rooms, and notes
Documents — titles, categories, expiry dates, and optionally photos of physical documents you choose to attach
Memories — photos, titles, descriptions, dates, and the family members present, that you add to your family timeline
Time Capsules — photos, videos, voice recordings, and written messages you choose to seal and schedule for future opening
Budget entries — expense descriptions, amounts, and categories you track
Family chat messages — text messages you send to other members of your family within the App

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

Location data — we request your device location solely to display local weather. Location is never stored on our servers
Device language — used to display the App in your preferred language
Notification permissions — used to send reminders and briefings if you enable them

2.4 Permissions We Request

You can grant or revoke any of these permissions at any time in your device settings. The App remains usable if you decline a permission, though the related feature (e.g. attaching a photo) will not work.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide exclusively to:

Create and secure your account
Display your family’s agenda, lists, budget, and home information
Let you and invited family members share and view the same household data
Provide AI-powered assistance through our integrated assistant, using your real family context to give relevant answers
Show local weather based on your location
Send you notifications and reminders you have requested

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Kelia is designed for families to organize their life together. When you register, a family group is automatically created for you, along with a unique invite code.

Only people you personally share your invite code with can join your family
Family members who join can view and contribute to shared calendar events, lists, budget, memories, documents, and family chat
You can see and share your invite code at any time from the Family screen
You remain in control of who has access to your invite code — Kelia never shares it on your behalf

5. Data Storage

Your personal data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database provider. All data is:

Transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
Protected by database-level security rules ensuring that only your own family members can ever access your family’s data — no other Kelia user can see it
Associated with your personal account, secured by your email and password

Photos, videos, and voice recordings you upload (Memories, Documents, Time Capsules) are stored in encrypted cloud storage linked to your account.

6. Third-Party Services

Kelia uses the following third-party services:

7. AI Assistant

Kelia includes an AI assistant. When you interact with the assistant:

The App builds a summary of your relevant family context (e.g. today’s events, active reminders) directly from your own account data
Your message and this context are sent to OpenRouter’s servers to generate a response
This data is processed according to OpenRouter’s privacy policy
We do not permanently store your conversation history on our servers

8. Location Data

Kelia requests access to your device’s location to display local weather. We:

Only access location when the App is in use
Never store your location on our servers
Never share your location with third parties
You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings

9. Push Notifications

If you enable reminders, Morning Briefing, or family chat alerts, Kelia will send push notifications. You can disable these at any time in your device settings or within the App.

10. Children’s Privacy

Kelia is designed as a family app and may be used to manage information about children, added by an adult user as family member profiles. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental involvement. All child-related data (name, age, birthday) is entered and managed by the adult user of the App who controls the family account.

11. Data Retention & Account Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data at any time by going to:

Settings → Zona pericolosa (“Danger Zone”) → Elimina account (“Delete account”)

This action is permanent and cannot be undone. If you simply wish to sign out without deleting your data, use Disconnetti account (“Log out”) instead.

12. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data stored in your account
Correct inaccurate data directly within the App
Permanently delete your account and data at any time through the App settings
Withdraw consent for location, camera, microphone, or notification access at any time via your device settings

13. Security

We implement appropriate technical measures — including encrypted transmission and database-level access rules — to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or deletion.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
