Kelia (“the App”) is a family digital assistant developed by Kelia Apps. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, why, where it is stored, and who can access it.
We have written it to describe what the App actually does. By using Kelia, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
Kelia stores what you and your family choose to enter:
Account Name, email address, and a password (encrypted — we never see it in plain text).
Family Profiles of your family members: name, role, age, and birthday. These are entered by you, including profiles for children.
Daily life Calendar events and appointments, tasks, shopping lists, home maintenance records, and budget entries.
Chat Text messages, photos, documents, and voice messages exchanged with your family inside the App.
Memories and Time Capsules Photos, videos, voice recordings, written messages, and the dates and people associated with them.
Documents Titles, categories, expiry dates, and photos of documents you choose to store.
Smart Shopping Store names, loyalty card numbers, an optional photo of the card, and — only if you choose to save it — the geographic position of a store (see section 6).
Kelia Care (optional) If you use Kelia Care, you may enter medication names, dosages and schedules, medical appointments, care journal notes (written or voice), emergency contacts, and care-related expenses and documents. See section 7.
Location — used in three different ways, described fully in section 6.
Usage activity — Kelia records which features are used and some of the actions you take, in order to make the App more useful. Some of these records include the text you entered — for example the name of a product you ticked off a shopping list, or the title of a task you completed. This information stays within your own family space and is never shared outside it.
Device language — to display the App in your language.

You can grant or revoke any permission at any time in your device settings. Kelia remains usable without them: if you decline location, for example, the weather simply shows a default city.
Your family data is visible only to the people you have invited into your family or care circle. No other Kelia user can see it.
Within a family, not everyone needs the same access. The person who created a family or care circle can decide what each member is allowed to see. A professional caregiver, for example, can be given access to medication schedules and appointments without being able to see family finances, private documents, or personal memories.
These limits are enforced both in the App and at the database level, so information you have restricted is never sent to an unauthorised device in the first place.
Kelia uses location in three distinct ways. All are optional, and before any location permission is requested the App shows a clear explanation of what will be collected and why.
When you open Kelia, it may detect which city you are in to show local weather.
This position is used only at that moment. It is not stored on our servers and is not shared with anyone. If you decline, Kelia shows the weather for a default city.
If you choose to save a store’s position in Smart Shopping, Kelia records the coordinates of the point where you are standing and stores them in your family space.
These coordinates are kept until you delete them, and are used only to recognise that store later. You can delete a saved store position at any time within the App.
If you turn on “Notify me near stores” in Settings, Kelia uses your location even when the App is not open, so it can notify you when you are near a store for which you have an active shopping list.
Location is never used for advertising and is never sold or shared with third parties.
Kelia Care is an optional feature for families coordinating the care of a loved one.
If you use it, the information you enter — medications, dosages and times, appointments, care journal notes, emergency contacts — is stored in your care circle and is visible only to the people you have explicitly authorised, according to the permissions described in section 5.
Kelia does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. It organises information that you have entered yourself, and it does not replace guidance from a healthcare professional.
Kelia does not connect to Health Connect, Apple Health, or any device health sensors, and does not read health data from other apps.
This information is never shared with third parties and is never used for advertising.
Kelia includes an AI assistant. When you send it a message, the App also sends a summary of your family context so the answer can be relevant.
This context can include:
Your message and this context are sent to OpenRouter, which generates the response and processes the data according to its own privacy policy. We do not permanently store your conversation history on our servers.
If you prefer not to share this information, simply do not use the AI assistant — the rest of Kelia works without it.
When you invite someone to your family, Kelia creates an invitation containing a randomly generated code. If you type in the person’s email or phone number so they can be reached, that detail is stored with the invitation.
Kelia also records which member invited which new member. This is used to understand how families grow and, in future, to recognise members who bring others in. It is never shared outside your family space and is never sold.
You can view or revoke pending invitations at any time from the Family screen.
Your data is stored using Supabase, a cloud database and storage provider. All data is:
Photos, videos, voice recordings, documents, and loyalty card images are stored in encrypted cloud storage linked to your account.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data for marketing purposes, and Kelia contains no advertising.
This section is different from the rest of this policy: it describes our marketing website, kelia.cloud, not the App itself.
Google Analytics — with your consent, given through the cookie banner shown on your first visit, kelia.cloud uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, general location by country/city, device type). This does not start until you actively accept it, and you can decline it entirely.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for kelia.cloud, which resets the banner.
Kelia offers an optional Premium subscription. Payments are handled by Apple or Google through your app store account and managed via RevenueCat.
We never see or store your payment card details. We receive only whether your subscription is active, so the App knows which features to unlock.
If you enable them, Kelia sends notifications for reminders, morning briefings, birthdays, care reminders, shopping requests from family members, and chat messages. You can disable these at any time in your device settings or within the App.
Kelia is a family app and may hold information about children — name, age, birthday — entered by an adult who manages the family account.
We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13 without parental involvement. Please note that if you use the AI assistant, the names and ages of family members, including children, form part of the context sent as described in section 8.
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. Kelia does not delete it automatically after a set period.
You can permanently delete your account and its data at any time from within the App:
Settings → Zona pericolosa (“Danger Zone”) → Elimina account (“Delete account”)
This is permanent and cannot be undone. If you only want to sign out without deleting anything, use Disconnetti account (“Log out”) instead.

We use encrypted transmission and database-level access rules to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, or deletion.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
